Czech Republic has made Ukraine on the list of safe countries

News
The Czech Interior Ministry has expanded the list of safe countries by adding Ukraine to it. Ukraine’s ambassador to the Czech Republic, Yevgeny Perebiynis, wrote on Facebook.
Czech Republic has made Ukraine on the list of safe countries
“This list is used when considering asylum requests. From now on, applications for asylum in the Czech Republic will be considered only from those citizens of Ukraine who came from the Russian-occupied Ukrainian regions - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and separate areas of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Appeals of citizens from other regions of Ukraine are automatically considered baseless, ”wrote Perebiynis.

He cited the words of Czech Interior Minister Jan Gamaček, who, in an interview with the newspaper Pravo on November 29, stated that according to the analysis, “Ukraine is among the countries where the Constitution provides fundamental rights and freedoms, including freedom of movement,” so the Czech authorities do not see reasons for not including it on the list of safe countries.

Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Parliament Chamber of Deputies, Jan Lipavsky, added that “the imposition of martial law in some regions of Ukraine for a period of one month is not an obstacle for us to consider Ukraine as a safe country.”
