The Great Egyptian Museum will be opened at the end of 2020
Its area will be about 50 hectares. About 50,000 exhibits will occupy one third of the museum's territory. Here they will collect a complete collection (5000) of Tutankhamun antiquities from the Cairo Museum, where due to lack of space, the collection is not fully represented. Also, some showpieces will come from Luxor, Alexandria, Faiyum and other cities.
The Egyptian authorities have also initiated world museums to provide valuable ancient Egyptian artifacts (Rosetta Stone from the British Museum, a bust of Nefertiti from the Berlin Egyptian Museum, the Denders Zodiac from the Louvre Museum, and a bust of Anhaf from the Boston Museum of Statues) for the grand opening day of the Great Egyptian Museum.
According to Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, foreigners will be able to visit the Museum by paying 400 Egyptian pounds ($ 25). For international students, the cost will be 200 Egyptian pounds ($ 13), and for the Egyptians - just 60 Egyptian pounds ($ 3.5).
